ABOUT "BE STILL":
Be Still is the first track from the "Acoustic Fire" music project, presented by Dominion Fire Church in Las Vegas, NV. Be Still is a song that was about 6 years in the making. Be Still began with an impromptu writing session following a worship team practice for a small church in Las Vegas. Guitarist Millian Quinteros and Vocalist Maria Uttaro were talking and trying out some music ideas. The opening riff just came out suddenly, and at that moment, everyone in the room paused to hear more. From there, the lyrics and the melody just began to flow. Three hours later, Be Still was completed.

As days go by, church life changes, everyday life happens, people move, circumstances shift and situations change. Be Still sat in the back of our minds for almost a decade. When Dominion Fire Church began, there was finally a creative outlet available by which to make this recording official. Over the years, as we played the song in church, it impacted many people, comforted many tears, rekindled fires, and traveled with us through many of life's journeys.

The song is just a simple homage to the Lord, that when the chaos of life is pushing you back and forth, the most basic thing to do is to calm down, be still and just KNOW that God is with you. Once you are centered with God, everything else falls in line. As John G Lake once said...It's not a stirring up, but a settling down.

Be Still is a simple and heartfelt song, yet represents a personal triumph for the writers, and a testament to an awesome little song that refused to give up.
